Hi there! I’m a therapist who’s passionate about helping clients heal from their past and build a life where they can truly thrive. I especially enjoy working with women and couples, creating a safe and supportive space for growth. I’m trained in EMDR for trauma, PREPARE/ENRICH for couples, and Internal Family Systems. I’m also expanding my skills with training in Narcissistic Abuse Treatment.
Hi, I’m Hannah Short, LCSW, founder of Rooted & Nourished Psychotherapy. I’m a licensed clinical social worker based in Texas, and my work is centered around helping women heal their relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves.
I specialize in eating disorder recovery, body image concerns, perinatal and postpartum support, and bariatric surgery mental health support. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through my partnership with Journey Clinical.
My approach is deeply compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that you are not “broken”—you’re navigating patterns that once helped you survive. Together, we slow down, get curious, and build a kinder, more connected relationship with your body and your mind.
I draw from IFS (parts work), somatic approaches, CBT/DBT skills, and attachment-based therapy, weaving in your story, your strengths, and your real-life context.
Before private practice, I worked extensively with adults navigating trauma, chronic dieting, postpartum transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the emotional toll of navigating healthcare systems. My clinical training includes a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston, postgraduate work in trauma and eating disorders, and ongoing advanced training in perinatal mental health and ketamine-assisted therapy.
Whether you're stepping into therapy for the first time or returning after a long break, my goal is simple: to create a safe space where you feel seen, supported, and understood. You don’t have to walk through this alone—healing starts with one small step, and I’m here to help you take it.
Hello, and welcome. My name is Cynthia Oputa, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. I believe that effective treatment begins with truly listening, building trust, and partnering with you to support your mental and emotional well-being.
I have a strong clinical background in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across the lifespan. My training allows me to integrate both psychotherapy and medication management, and I take a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to care. I believe that combining therapeutic support with appropriate medication—when needed—offers a more holistic and sustainable path to healing.
My areas of interest include the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and stress-related concerns. I work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that respect personal values, goals, and lived experiences. I also encourage education and shared decision-making, empowering clients to feel informed and confident about their care.
Above all, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and respected. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, professionalism, and care.

Greetings. My name is Dennis Steelman. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I carry two professional certifications in Mental Health Teletherapy (CTMH), and as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I hold a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Addictions Counseling. I obtained both graduate degrees from Liberty University.
My approach to therapy is mainly through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). CBT is a highly effective modality of treatment that is aimed at correcting negative beliefs and identifying negative thoughts. This is of course an oversimplification of CBT but illustrates the crux of what CBT looks like. EMDR is a highly effective treatment for PTSD and other trauma-related illnesses. EMDR is a specialized form of treatment that has been proven to not only be effective for the treatment of trauma, but emerging research also suggests EMDR is highly effective in the treatment of a wide array of illnesses.
I believe that therapy should carry certain expectations, just like any other form of treatment. An individual coming into treatment should expect to see positive results. An individual coming into treatment should expect to see progress in their treatment through a collaborative effort between the therapist and the client.
I chose to specialize in the treatment of trauma and related negative life events because of the damage they can do to the individual. It is my experience that those who have endured harmful life events are often locked into a pattern of negative thinking, believing, and behavior. I look forward to working with those individuals looking to break free of those patterns.
I am a passionate, driven, therapist, mental health advocate, and motivational speaker,
whose life goal has always been to help others along the way. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Graduate College of Social Work on the campus of the University of Houston.
She has been a therapist for the past five years specializing in childhood trauma, grief, eidetic imagery, trauma, and helping others deal with generational bondage.
I have a diverse background which helps me to relate well to many different people. I earned a B.A. in Communications with minors in Music and German, an M.S. in Professional Counseling, and a Ph.D. in General Psychology. I served as a USMC officer and attack helicopter pilot and saw combat in Afghanistan and Iraq. I also have a background in teaching, pastoral work, and music. My life experiences have prepared me in a unique way to serve you as an effective counselor and agent of change.
